Opening October 4th at 17h00:
The title of the exhibition, is taken directly from the famous documentary of the same name, that talks about the history of film in the city, and its effects on the public’s perception of space and time through the lens of cinema. This photographic series aims to also place a more intimate gaze on a place that most people imagine to be more dream than reality.
The black and white and colour 35mm film photographs in this exhibition are shot in a documentary style, walking and driving through neighbourhoods and views of the city often neglected by outsiders, that encompass the every day life of the residents of Los Angeles, while also examining some of the landmarks that make the city one of the great cinematic capitals of the world.
For availability of prints from the exhibition, check out the store section of the website.
